In 1971, an oil spill in San Francisco Bay brought together a group of concerned citizens who saw the need for a coordinated and professional response to oiled wildlife. This moment marked the birth of International Bird Rescue. 40 years, and hundreds of oil spills later, their mission and their work remain as vital as ever.
Openfield Creative was excited to be a part of the effort to create a new face for International Bird Rescue. The rebranding effort was led by our neighbors across the street at LPK, the world's largest, employee-owned brand design agency. LPK created a vibrant new brand identity for IBR. We were thrilled to collaborate with them to help express the IBR story on the new website and social media outlets that launched in time for the airing of HBO's "Saving Pelican 895", which recently won Best Documentary at the prestigious Vail Film Festival.
In addition to the new website, we provided a content management system that allows IBR's team to make timely updates to the website.
