    UX Designer

    At Openfield Creative, the UX Designer brings products to life through elegant and purposeful design. This is a hands-on design position offering the opportunity to work side-by-side with other UX designers, product owners and engineers to create world-class digital experiences.

    Responsibilities:
    • Support UX design activities from ideation to validation
    • Wireframe design of product interfaces and interactive components
    • Create design requirements annotations
    • Contribute to product requirements documents
    • Contribute to design and user needs research
    • Present and critique work in daily design reviews with your team
    Requirements:

    At Openfield, between design and engineering is the front-end designer/developer. This position involves designing the interface and then developing the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that makes an experience come to life.

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead UI and support UX design of product interfaces and interactive components
    • Accurately develop HTML/CSS layouts for responsive and accessible products
    • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
    • Ensure technical feasibility of UI and UX designs
    • Present and critique work in daily design reviews with your team
    Requirements:
    • Degree in digital interaction design, graphic design, computer science, or the like
    • 1-3 years experience in a design setting
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Expert knowledge of the following:
      • Wireframing and design software expertise (Adobe, Sketch, etc.)
      • Comfortable using git and repositories (GitHub, etc.)
      • HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Responsive and Flexible layout, Mobile operating systems

    UX Researcher

    The User Experience Researcher learns what our clients and end-users' wants and needs from their products and services. You will conduct independent research to analyze real users and their behaviors to deliver world class user experience solutions. The UX Researcher will affect the testing roadmap and use qualitative and quantitative data to help shape the design.

    You will work closely with the UX Lead and UX Designers to improve product features and help to develop and discover new experience opportunities and improvements. You will be asked to participate in and have a solid understanding of a wide range of clients and project types and be able to support each one's strategies.

    In addition to strong analytical skills and the ability to balance a multi-project workload, strong understanding and working knowledge of the following must be present to be considered for the position:
    • UX and User-Centered Design principles and processes
    • Remote testing tools and usability testing software
    • Strengths and weaknesses of different research methodologies
    • Design and Production Flows
    In this role the User Experience Researcher will:
    • Conduct independent research for our clients end users
    • Propose, develop, execute and analyze results from user research, focus groups, usability testing, and competitor and market research
    • Communicate findings and recommendations to drive design decisions and functionality enhancements
    • Identify and propose research method based on project, research or testing goals
    • Conduct face-to-face and remote usability tests
    • Be point of contact with external recruiting team
    • Recruit users, when necessary
    • Inform and influence teams to implement solutions that are best for the user in the context of overall business goals and vision
    • Define user-centric design drivers for projects based on research findings
    • Work side-by-side with UX designers to prioritize research
    • Analyze the design and product requirements documents
    • Follow User-Centered Design best practices
    • Participate in user definition, persona and user case development, distill and communicate findings
    • Identify and summarize meaningful insights derived from design research
    • Effectively document research and testing
    • Collaborate in the refinement and improvement of Openfield’s research process
    • Help define and participate in the creation of content for use in OFC content marketing that demonstrates the company’s research capabilities
    Qualifications:
    • Undergraduate degree in one or more of the following:
      • Human-Computer Interaction
      • Experimental Psychology
      • Anthropology

    • Extensive experience in a design setting such as:
